Tamara seeks to address a diverse array of project goals and aspirations through rigorous technical analysis to find the best solution for the client’s needs. Tamara absorbs new concepts and technical skills quickly and leverages these to support building designs in various materials including concrete, steel, and wood. Tamara received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from San Jose State University, where she was the captain and then assistant coach of the tennis team. Tamara has a long-established affinity for engineering. The pivot from tennis to structural design evolved organically with her experiences in the sport lending to her attributes as part of the structural design team. An athlete at heart, Tamara brings her leadership skills and drive to her work.
